Galaxia Overview

Galaxia is an open source workflow engine based on Openflow and while originally written for Tiki CMS/Groupware, it has been ported to several other Open Source projects. Galaxia is an activity-based workflow application, where the processes and the workflows are made of dynamic activities that must be completed to finish a task. Contrast this with a procedural system where each step in the process must be completed in order, and the power of this application becomes clear.

Galaxia is the ideal tool for implementing business processes. It is well-suited for use in corporate environments, where it can be used for tracking requests, product QA, and any other situation where people from many different areas must collaborate.

Workflow.tikiwiki.org is for demonstrating and distributing Galaxia workflows. This is a Tiki community site, and all members are welcome to submit their creations. This will also be the place for sharing ideas, getting help, and finding tutorials and other resources related to workflows.

It is with great pleasure that the TikiWiki community releases TikiWiki CMS/Groupware 2.0

Tiki 2.0 (previously known as Tiki 1.10) is the next generation of TikiWiki. Special thanks to the countless people that made this release possible. TikiWiki is truly a community success. Over 80 people contributed 6894 commits (code changes) to the source code of version 2.0 and so many more to testing, documentation, bug reporting, etc.

TikiWiki 2.0 offers countless (really!) new features & enhancements.

At long last, the posts on the old forum home for Galaxia on tikiwiki.org have finally been moved over to workflow.tikwiki.org! You can find them in the appropriately-named "Old Workflow Forum" in the forums list. Note that these posts are read-only and for reference purposes. Having said that, feel free to quote posts there in any new posts for historical perspective.
